Inspired in Kosho Ryu. How to bring back the FIRE!
Inspired in Kosho Ryu. This is likely the final post here at the World Budo Alliance blog for me for 2023. It has been a very busy period for me.
But today I want to leave you with a story of inspiration.
I am going to be 40 years in the martial arts in 2024. And I will be honest I have been suffering some burnout the last few years. It did not stop my productivity, but I felt rather uninspired on a personal level.
Inspired in Kosho Ryu
I saw something very inspirational the other day. And so I want to share it with you. We were relaxing at home and I decided to watch a traditional Romanian music concept with a lady named Andra, and Orchestra Fraților Advahov. There were many special guests from over the decades of Romanian music.
Now I love Andra's music. I fell in love with Romanian music in about 2018 because I hear it all the time living in Romania. But I decided to really pursue it, listen to it as part of my language training. I have been very focused on becoming a fluent speaker the last 18 months.
Andra a modern artist but also sings a lot of traditional music. But, what stood out in this concert was her love of what she does. As other artists came out and did duets with her, or solos the look in her eyes, and eyes do not lie, was pure passion. It was inspiring to see someone love what they do so much!
While the concert was 3.5 hours long, I embed in case you are curious. And I admit I have kinda burned myself out these last 3 years. But Andra, her music, and many other Romanian artists have helped me rekindle my love of the arts, especially Kosho Ryu which is a study, a complete study.
Passion is contagious! And to see people do something because they love doing it, not just for money, is truly amazing to see.
Inspired in Kosho Ryu
This beautiful lady truly helped me with her music. I have told the story before of how in 2018 I met other famous Romanian musician Loredana Groza. And I love her music also!
It is funny and awesome because unlike the "celebrities" of the western culture these people are real, not phonies. No retouched photos, and computer enchaned vocals. Artists without of control lives and substance abuse issues.
These people have the same values we are martial artists are supposed to have! And we really do need to get back to these times of high moral and ethic values.
In Conclusion
While this is not a martial art post, it is a martial art post. I have been Inspired in Kosho Ryu once again by a non martial art person.
But if Kosho Ryu is a study, a real study, then all things become Kosho. Even the love of music. My language study is Kosho Ryu..
