Martial Arts Training is about the mind. Body is 2nd!

Martial Arts Training is about the mind.

Martial Arts Training is about the mind. Student and teacher become lost in only training the body. And also how the body looks.

Martial arts is about everything in life. If you have a rose garden, then you while caring for this garden are training in the martial arts. My first style of martial art was Hapkido. But today that is the style I trained in for the least amount of time. Kosho Ryu is where I have done the most training in my 40 years.

Martial Arts Training is about the mind

And Kosho Ryu is not a style of martial art. It is rather a study. A study of natural laws and all aspects of life. Anything that develops the mind is martial arts. and at advanced training level, or years of dedicated study and training, this develops the connection to spirit.

There is no short cut.

I was asked a great question recently if Kyusho Jitsu was the top end of study. The answer Kyusho Jitsu is about 5% of the study. Yet it is so complex? That is because everything is a study, a learning opportunity.

About the Mind - more examples

Other examples of what I consider to be martial arts training is for one the study of the history of the martial arts. This is something not taught in most Dojo's. And it is not taught properly in the western school system either.

You cannot re-write history. When you do nothing is learned. And this is one reason the world is in the bad shape it is in. Ideologies love to lie about history.

For myself I am learning Romanian. Now I live in the country. But if I just depend on this I will never fluent! Therefore I do formal training on a website called RomanianPod 101. This is a creation of Romanian native speakers.

How is this training? I am developing my MIND, which makes me more alert. Increases memory and expand and opens the mind. How is that not martial arts? Martial arts is about the mind!

Martial Arts Training is about the mind

And the highest purpose of martial art training is to escape harm. Not to beat someone to injury or kill someone. That is ego and has a heavy price attached to it! To escape without being harmed or doing harm. This is the most important aspect yet no one learns this or teaches it.
